The name, The White Notebook, came by chance when Barberi was outlining the book, The Inherent Angel.

The Inherent Angel is a myth, which takes place in a universe of worlds known as The Aurelia. As the story is told, within The Aurelia the highest of worlds is inhabited by angels. In that highest of worlds an angel named Inspira watches over human beings and makes notes as to their comings and goings in a journal of white silk and gold. Barberi decided to give Inspira's journal a proper name: The White Notebook.

Barberi then decided to use the name, The White Notebook, for the division of Illumina that produced books and music CDs based in myth: fairy tales, parables and angelic legend.

As it turned out, The Inherent Angel was not the first book of that genre to be completed. The first project Barberi completed and published was The Angel Chronicles: The Guardian Angels Books I-V by The Angel Auberon with the companion music CD, Angel Music.

It would be easy to see in a book like Barberi's Love and Dreams that both characters and readers are on an expedition in search of love. But we were surprised when we realized during production of The Angel Chronicles: The Guardian Angels Books I-V by The Angel Auberon and the music CD, Angel Music that the angel project was also about love, as much about love as it was about angels, the message being that the Guardian Angels were given to human beings as a proof of God's love, and that the Guardian Angels sought their assignment because of their love for us. Even within the context of angelic legend Barberi continued to explore aspects of love.
